About the course
How long does the course take?
About 60 minutes of learner time, structured as six modules. Employees can complete it in one sitting or take one module at a time and finish across the week — whichever fits their schedule. It runs on a laptop, desktop, tablet, or iPad.
What does the course cover?
Six modules: Why this matters, Who's who under DPDP, What the Act requires, Rights and requests, Spotting and reporting incidents, and Everyday mistakes. Each module ends with a scenario and a drag-and-drop exercise. The final knowledge check has 15 randomised questions with a 70% pass mark and unlimited retakes.
Is this awareness training or professional certification?
Awareness training. It's built for every employee — not for a Data Protection Officer building deep programme expertise. Individual professionals wanting deep DPDP expertise are better served by dedicated certificate courses. Most organisations need both, for different people. More on the distinction here.
What language is the course in?
English, in the first release. Voiceover is professional narration, with matching captions on every slide. Hindi and regional-language versions are on the roadmap based on customer demand.
Compliance and records
What records do we get for the compliance audit file?
An admin dashboard with per-learner records: who enrolled, who completed, when, average test score, time spent per module, resume patterns, and interaction detail via Tin Can/xAPI. Everything exports to Excel and CSV. This isn't a simple spreadsheet — it's an audit trail a compliance auditor or Data Protection Board inquiry could work with.
Does the course make our organisation DPDP-compliant?
No single training course makes an organisation compliant — DPDP compliance is an ongoing programme involving policies, technical controls, contract updates, and documented processes across the organisation. Employee awareness training is a well-fitted organisational control that supports several parts of that programme: it helps staff follow the organisation's data-handling procedures, recognise possible incidents, and route Data Principal requests correctly. Completion records also help evidence that workforce awareness measures have been implemented.
How is the course customised for our organisation?
From the Growth tier upward, we provide a fillable DPDP Quick Reference Card — a one-page PDF that names your DPO or Grievance Officer, breach reporting path, privacy notice location, and internal escalation contact. You distribute it alongside the course. This keeps the course itself a single tested version — which is how we keep pricing accessible — while learners see your organisation's specifics on the card.
Do you issue certificates?
The course produces per-learner completion records visible in your admin dashboard, exportable for your audit file. We deliberately don't issue standalone individual certificates — the audit-ready dashboard record is what a compliance auditor or the Data Protection Board would want to see, and 100 individual PDF certificates would be far harder to manage.

How is the course priced?
Per learner, at flat-band tiers (Starter, Growth, Enterprise), quoted to your headcount. Rather than publishing prices, we ask a few questions about your team size and requirements and give you a straight number. No consulting overhead, no engagement fees. More on pricing structure here.
Is there a free demo?
Yes. Get in touch and we'll walk you through the course — one module, the dashboard, and how the audit record would look for your organisation. Typically a 20-minute conversation.
Do you offer discounts to founding customers?
Yes — organisations that confirm orders by 30 September 2026 get 30% off list prices, locked through the Year-2 renewal. Mention it when you get in touch. This is a limited offer while we build our founding customer base.
What if my sector needs specialised content — banking, insurance, e-commerce?
We're building sector-specific add-on modules for BFSI, Insurance, E-commerce, and Travel — sectors with distinct DPDP interaction patterns. Mention your sector when you get in touch; early customers help shape which add-ons ship first.
Technical and delivery
How is the course delivered?
Through our online learning platform (rapidcompetency.com). We provide your admin with logins to enrol learners and view the dashboard; learners get their own login to access the course. No installation, no plugins. Works on modern browsers on any device.
Do we need our own LMS?
No. The course runs on our platform. If you already have an LMS and want the course delivered as a SCORM package into your system instead, that's available at the Enterprise tier — talk to us about your LMS setup.
How quickly can we get started?
Typically same-day setup after payment. Your admin credentials arrive within a working day, and you can start enrolling learners immediately. There's no procurement cycle, no lengthy onboarding — the course is a productised offering.
Can we customise the course content itself?
The core course is a single tested version — this is how we keep pricing accessible for organisations of every size. Per-organisation details (your DPO, your reporting path) are handled through the Quick Reference Card. Larger organisations that want deeper customisation should talk to us at the Enterprise tier.
About DPDP more generally
When does DPDP compliance actually become mandatory?
Most operational obligations under the Act and Rules take effect on 13 May 2027. After that date, the Data Protection Board can impose penalties following its inquiry process. Full compliance timeline here.
Does DPDP apply to us — we're only a small business?
The Act is likely to apply if your organisation processes digital personal data within India, or processes personal data outside India in connection with offering goods or services to Data Principals in India. If you have a customer database, an HR system, a marketing list, or accept online enquiries, DPDP most likely applies. Section 17(3) of the Act does allow the Central Government to notify specified classes of Data Fiduciaries — including eligible startups — as exempt from particular provisions, so unusual cases should be checked with counsel. What happens if we don't comply?
The Data Protection Board can impose monetary penalties under the Schedule to the DPDP Act — up to ₹250 crore for failure to implement reasonable security safeguards, and other penalties for different violations.
